F;ck Breast Cancer:

F;ck Breast Cancer:

The Year of Living Titless.

The Year of Living Titless.

This is not a “cancer story.”
It’s a raw, funny, radical reclamation of what survivorship looks like — after chemo, surgery, scars, rebuilds, and fierce hope.

A memoir for anyone who’s been told what women’s bodies should be — and decided to write their own rules.

About the Book

About the Book

After chemo, surgery, scars, hormone chaos, and body changes, F;ck Breast Cancer asks what happens next.

Part memoir, part guidebook, it blends brutal honesty, humour, sensory-somatic rituals, and research-driven insights. It doesn’t pink-wash cancer or glorify survival. It sits in the mess — and then shows how to rebuild, one honest conversation, one ritual, one belly laugh at a time.

Breast cancer is not only medical — it’s emotional, somatic, hormonal, existential, cultural. This book refuses the one-dimensional script. It honours complexity, honours women’s bodies, honours truth.

It is a reminder that healing is not about returning to who you were, but about becoming someone new with compassion, courage, and a little rebellion.

It also explores provocative ideas on how health care needs healing too, drawn from real experience navigating treatment, survival, and the possibilities of hope.

A Comic Relief in a Very Unfunny Situation

Tit-Less (aka without a breast) is the character who lives inside this memoir — my unapologetic, one-breasted warrior self in a bubble-gum pink wig. Born in a hospital and Viking-baptised in salt water and spreadsheets, she arrived right around the time I realised that, yes, even in the 21st century, one of the main treatments for breast cancer is still… removing a breast. Practical? Often. Emotionally surreal? Absolutely.

So Tit-Less became the alter-ego who carried me through cancer.
She gives me poetic license to say out loud what so many would like to say.
She helps me laugh when things get absurd.
She writes slightly-too-honest emails to doctors.
She occasionally swears at medical bureaucracy.
She baptises herself Viking-style and refuses to disappear.

She laughed when it hurt. She cracked jokes in waiting rooms.
She wore her scars like armour and lipstick like war paint.
She decided that if a breast had to go, humour, sensuality — and aliveness — would stay.

Because Tit-Less represents the part of survivorship we rarely talk about:
humour as a survival skill — not a mask.

No manifestos. No megaphones.

Just one woman, one missing breast, and one gloriously unfiltered inner narrator trying to make sense of it all — and occasionally asking whether this is really the best we’ve got.

P.S. As I had my breast reconstruction done, Tit-Less has now officially retired to the Museum of Tit-Less Medicine — but she still consults as Head of Irreverence. Every time you spot a F;ck in these pages, it’s safe to assume she briefly took the wheel. 💋

I wrote the book I couldn’t find when I was diagnosed. Not one that told me to “stay positive” or “fight harder,” but one that could sit with me in the fear, the rage, the absurdity, the waiting rooms, the ocean swims, the spreadsheets, and the tiny rebirths.

If you’re here, something in your life is shifting — or already has. I hope this book feels like a companion for that shift. A hand on your back. A laugh when you need it. A mirror that tells the truth, softly but clearly.

This is my offering to anyone who refuses to disappear, even when illness redraws the map.

If you refuse to disappear — this book is for you.
If you’re ready to rewrite the script — f;ck yes, join us!
